What is Galvalume Plus™ ?

Galvalume Plus™ is the alloy coating that we place onto our steel. This alloy is formed of a 55% mix of aluminum and 45% zinc. This unique alloy is then chemically bonded to the steel, resulting in a highly corrosive resistant product, whether it be a Steel Garage , Workshop Building, Storage Unit, Aircraft Hangar or whatever you want.

Galvalume Plus is an unpainted steel sheet product that starts with our Galvalume™ substrate and its highly corrosion resistant 55% aluminum - 45% zinc alloy hot dipped coating. A clear, organic resin coating is applied to both sides of the substrate, using sophisticated reverse roll coaters. Once applied, the coating is then thermally cured. The use of online or offline roll coaters provide precise application of the organic film, assuring uniform film thickness. Because the resin coating is transparent, the standard surface appearance of the Galvalume substrate is unchanged. Galvalume Plus provides a bright, attractive appearance with a fine spangle and gentle sheen. The application of an organic coating eliminates the need for conventional chemical treatment and vanishing oil. This enhancement offers our customers the following benefits:

• Galvalume Plus is an oil-free product*. The organic coating is designed to pass through a roll-forming operation without applying lubricating oils.

• Galvalume Plus panels are delivered to the job site oil-free, where the resin coating effectively resists fingerprinting and smudging.

• The resin coating is flexible and provides excellent resistance to storage stain.Our arches are made of Galvalume Plus™. An innovative combination of Aluminum and Zinc (55% and 45%) which offers 85% heat reflectance among many other benefits. 

GALVALUME PLUS™ GUARANTEE

Galvalume Plus™ offers the best qualities of aluminum-coated (aluminized) and zinc-coated (galvanized) steels. It has barrier corrosion resistance and heat resistance similar to aluminized and good bare edge galvanic protection and forming qualities like galvanized.

Galvalume Plus™, by virtue of its combined protection of aluminum and zinc, has at least twice the service life, in most atmospheric environments, of conventional galvanized steel with the same coating thickness.
